Automobile Lease Return Problems!
I have had several people call me with an automobile lease return problem. During Covid-19, the dealership was not open to take back the leased automobile on the due date. Drivers were told to return the automobile later, and that no additional fees would apply. Later, when the dealer took the car back, an invoice was mailed out demanding payment for the additional time the driver had possession of the leased automobile. This is outrageous considering the driver was promised there would be no additional fees and holding onto the automobile was done to accommodate the leasing company. If this happened to you, or someone you know, contact the law firm. There is a remedy. Note that the FTC is currently monitoring this wide spread problem.
