There have been many layoffs and furloughs lately;
Macy’s is furloughing 125,000 employees
Walt Disney World is furloughing 43,000 employees
Airbnb laid off 25% of its workforce which was 1,900 employees.
Uber recently laid off 3,700 employees.
Virgin Atlantic laid off  3,150 employees.
United Airlines is talking about 3,400 layoffs by this fall.
Lyft laid off 1,000 employees
Boeing cut 16,000 jobs
Tripadvisor cut 900 jobs
Hertz cut 10,000 jobs
Under Armour initiated a temp lay off of 6,700 employees
Sotheby’s is furloughing 200 people
Amazon recently laid off over 3,200 delivery drivers as Amazon cuts ties with its larger delivery contractors.

JCPenney, Neiman MArcus, J. Crew, and Stage Stores filed for bankruptcy
